Dosing Calculator
Diatomix Garden Pond is suitable for small ponds, up to ten square metres (10m2), and we recommend using 30mL per week if the algae are pretty bad.
If there are some algae around that you want to get rid of, use 20 mL per week. If things look good, and you want to keep it that way, use 10 mL per week. If you don’t see any changes after four weeks, increase your dose by 10 or 20 mL per week, until the pond cleans up, and then start lowering the dose.
If you have a pond or dam that is larger than 10m2, we recommend using our Diatomix Concentrate or Diatomix IV products. Use the table below to estimate your dosage. If you have done water tests, or you want to ensure you get the best results quickly, we recommend you have your water tested for ammonia (NH3), nitrate (NO3–), phosphate (PO43-) and reactive silica (SiO2), and send these results through to us and we will calculate your dosage for you.
